6.15. Solicitation/Distribution
To avoid disruption of business operations, the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois discourages solicitation and distribution of related materials. “Solicitation” includes, but is not limited to, selling items or services, requesting contributions, and soliciting or seeking to obtain membership in or support of an organization.
Solicitation performed through verbal, written, or electronic means is included.
Employees may conduct solicitations during a lunch period, coffee breaks, or other authorized nonworking time, so long as the employee does so when the other employees are also on nonworking time.
Literature that violates the teachings of the Catholic Church, is knowingly and recklessly false, or is immoral is never permitted. Non-employees are not permitted to distribute materials on company premises at any time.
