Employees are given the necessary time off without pay to attend or participate in a court proceeding in accordance with state law.
Employees should notify the pastor of the need to take witness leave as far in advance as is possible. The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois reserves the right to require proof of the need for leave to the extent authorized by law.
