The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois and its agencies comply with the Smoke-Free Illinois Act and prohibits smoking of tobacco products in any building owned by the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois or its agencies. Smoking is prohibited 15 feet from the entrances, exits, windows that open, and ventilation intakes on the premises of the business. Employees in violation of this act may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Discrimination is prohibited against employees based on their off-premises and off-duty tobacco usage.
