6.1. Document Retention
For questions concerning the document retention policy and procedure, please contact the Director of the Office of Archives and Records Management. The document retention schedules may be found under the For Parishes/Schools tab (dio.org). Employees must retain all work products in the manner required and for the period required by the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois policy. Never destroy or delete any work product until the retention periods specified by the Document Retention policy have been satisfied.
Failure to comply with the document retention policy and procedure may result in discipline up to and including termination.
