Our churches are literally the house of God, as Jesus is truly present to us in the holy Eucharist! To celebrate the first year of the nationwide Eucharistic Revival starting in June, Catholic Times is hosting a free Lego contest to see what young architect/builder can create the most impressive church from scratch!

  • Children in grades kindergarten through high school;
  • Child must reside in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois and must be Catholic;
  • Parents/older siblings cannot help with the build;
  • Church can be of the exterior or interior;
  • Church must be made from scratch (no directions);
  • Church can be child’s home parish, a different church, or unique;
  • Teams of two children are allowed to build one church as long as the children are all in the same grade category (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, high school), are Catholic, and reside in our diocese.
