The Office for Pro-Life rests on a clear and unchanging foundation:
"From the moment of conception, the life of every human being is to be respected in an absolute way." (Donum Vitae, I.5)
Because the unborn child is the most defenseless among us, the Church rightly gives priority to their protection within the Preferential Option for the Poor. This conviction unites us as Roman Catholics.
At the same time, the Gospel of Life compels us to recognize Christ's presence wherever human dignity is threatened. This includes not only the unborn child, but also mothers in crisis, families under strain, and all those in need of spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
