SUMMARY:2026 Summer Immersion Experience
DESCRIPTION:Women discerning a call to religious life are invited to Springfield this June for a national discernment experience hosted by the Springfield Dominican Sisters. \nApplications are now being accepted for the five-day event\, taking place June 16–20\, 2026. Up to fifteen women will be selected to participate in this unique opportunity to experience the rhythms of apostolic religious life firsthand. \nParticipants will stay at Sacred Heart Convent and take part in community life\, daily prayer\, active service\, and theological reflection — the foundational elements of Dominican life. \nSingle Catholic women ages 20–45 are encouraged to apply. \n“Springfield is a perfect place to give women a taste of the foundations of Dominican life: community life\, prayer\, study\, and preaching\, or service\,” said Sister Denise Glazik\, OP\, minister of vocation accompaniment for the Springfield Dominican Sisters. “Our senior sisters at the motherhouse are gracious and welcoming\, and the city is home to some stellar nonprofit organizations that will provide a wonderful immersion experience for participants.” \nREGISTER HERE. The participation fee is $50. Scholarships are available\, and cost should not prevent anyone from applying.
